Are you suffering from an injury? It’s your lucky day, because we can help fix it. When CrossFit training is combined with smart coaching it is extremely effective for injury rehabilitation and prevention. We've seen it help people with all sorts of injuries. From fractured wrists, disc herniation, shoulder reconstructions, chronic back pain and much more. But now you’re probably thinking, “wait a sec, CrossFit is pretty hardcore, how can people do that stuff with those injuries?” Here’s how... A major part of CrossFit that is often overlooked is Scaling and Progressive Development. It's not as exciting as what you might see on TV or hear about from your crazy CrossFit friend, but it happens every day in every workout. Scaling is when you will make an alteration to a movement to accommodate an injury or physical limitation you have. Progressive development is starting to work from where you are now and then building from there. No one will expect you to walk in the door and do the workout exactly the same as someone else. By using these two things CrossFit is actually an amazing training style for injury management and recovery, as long as you have a smart coach and a supportive class environment. Remember these three tips to help you on your road to recovery!
What CrossFit will teach you is that if you are patient, listen to your coaches, stay consistent and focus on technique you can recover from injury and become stronger than ever before.
